    Tube Rolling

Well, I finally got to use my new tube roller. This is just one of the jobs I had in mind when I purchased the roller.

I started by marking the center Of the tube so I could track it with the cardboard template. I ran a slight radius to start.

After rolling a bit more, then checking it with my template.

I know after a bit I'm going to have to switch to the tube bender for the hard radius.

Here's what it looks like in place...... Being this was my first roll and bend this might end up being a test piece.

    Thanks Steve

Tools of the trade. Looking good!

I'd be making pie cuts with a sawzall, bending in a vice and then mig welding and grinding. Probably would take me 4 hours to do what you can do in 2 hours, and your end product is structurally superior.

    anim_25 with the new tool.

    Thanks John
I'm bending the right side today. I'm going to leave the tube longer on the bend to go further down the back tail panel. The first piece was actually a piece of scrap that I had used the keep the door jam square and had some tack welds I ground off.
    Thanks Steve

No, all steel.... but its a lift off body, so there has to be more structural work done.
    Thanks Steve
